I have approximately 7 million pictures of my daughter and husband together. Before this year, I probably had about 3 pictures of my daughter and me together.
There were two reasons for this:
1) I hate pictures of myself.
2) I am the one with the camera.
So, one of my New Years resolutions was to take more pictures of my daughter and me together. Then I had one of those Oprah "A-ha" moments. What if I did the 365 photo project, (where you take one picture of yourself everyday for a year), but instead take a picture of me and my daughter everyday?!

I had to let myself go and become more comfortable in front of the camera. I also had to be okay with taking pictures with anything I had available. Some pictures or taken are my DSLR, others on my point and shoot, some from my cell phone and others from my computer camera.

I thought it would be difficult to take a picture everyday, but really it takes a minute or two, is and well worth my time.

Love this idea! I, too, have so many photos of my girl, and my girl and husband, just a couple of me. Same reasons you have stated. If I try this photo experiment, I will have to blow dry my hair every day!
Great post.
What a fabulous idea! I joke that my kids look like orphans if you look at my photos – nary a parent to be seen. But when I was living in Guatemala with my oldest, I took a self portrait almost every day for my husband and I love having those. I need to try harder.
Really great idea. I have the same problem. Tons of pictures of my kids with my husband but hardly any of me with them. Might have to give your idea a try and take some photos of me with them while they are still little. Don't want to regret not having any later on!
What a great project, and something many of us can relate too.
thanks for the inspiration.
What a wonderful project!
Sounds like a great idea I am actually doing 2 365 project right now, self portrait and my 2 kids a picture a day of both of them.
Very awesome.
