Amon Maternity Review and Giveaway!

So it's a given that when you are pregnant you are going to get bigger. Sometimes a lot bigger -which can leave a woman feeling very unattractive and bulky. Combine that with the fact that maternity clothes aren't always the most flattering and stylish around and leaving the house can get down right depressing. So it is nice when you find some pieces that help you feel a bit more confident and pulled together during the long stretch of nine months.  And I am happy to say, I've found some great items to go under my maternity clothes that make me feel a whole lot comfortable with my growing belly.

Amon Maternity is a private label of maternity foundational garments. They provide support, comfort and a tiny bit of control underneath your clothing. Their line has something for everyone and is made of breathable microfiber so even in the summer heat it doesn't feel like you have much on.

How's this for TMI? I find that my regular under garments just don't fit well when I am pregnant. Whether they are riding up or scootching down, I am just frequently uncomfortable. Amon's maternity briefs, while looking a bit like granny panties, fit up over the belly and everything stays where it is supposed to. Their skivvies give a little more support as they go over the thigh to give subtle slimming. They also have a maternity thong, but I find enough uncomfortable about pregnancy to add to it. Then again, there is no excuse for panty lines, even if no one will probably notice when focused on your gigantic belly. They also provide a wonderful band that gives you a little extra support in front and back and just in general smoothes you out.

They also have a product I haven't yet been able to try but can't wait to give a whirl – their bodyshaper. This product is specifically made with the new mom in mind who desperately needs a little something to hide the post baby pooch. It gives firm support around your midsection helping you to feel like your normal fashionable self a bit sooner. If only it could take off the extra 20 pounds too it would be priceless.

I highly recommend Amon's maternity under garments!  If you're just dying to get your pregnant rear in a pair, you're in luck!  Blissful Style readers can get 10% off at checkout when purchasing at Amon's website if you enter code "blissfulstyle".  AND one lucky reader will win a $50 gift certificate to Amon Maternity!  To enter, just leave a comment on this post telling us what your favorite product at Amon's website is. One winner will be chosen at random on Saturday July 11th.

Good luck!

I'd love to try the band – I can imagine it becoming more and more important the further I get into my pregnancy.
I'm tempted by the post-birth bodyshaper too – although between spit-up and leaking boobs, I'm sure a flabby tummy will be the least of my worries.

  2. the body shaper looks great!

  3. I'll be delivering my baby boy next month and would so love to try the body shaper after delivery to help shape up my flabby tummy. :)

  4. I'd like to try the bodyshaper. Looks like it would be useful after the birth of my little one. The band looks like it would be very supportive as well. Something I'm sure I'll need in the coming months!

  5. I would love to try the skivvies. I love to wear dresses when I am pregnant and this would probably help make my back side look a little tighter. I would aslo love to try the bodyshaper. Anything that helps me squeeze back into those pre pregnancy clothes would be wonderful!

  6. I would love to try the body shaper. But they all look like very helpful items.

  7. Hmmm…I could really use the brief – I just roll down my current undies at the end, but those would be nice. :) Also, the band looks nice for support, too! :)

  8. I am "only" 14 weeks along – but from my past 2 pregnancies, I don't remember having too much problems w/ my pregnancy undergarments – however, I do remember wishing for something to shape my belly after the birth so I'm leaning toward wanting to try the body shaper :)

I love the bodyshaper! I am really going to need it in late September!

  10. Right now I could use the band but I could sure put that body shaper to good use after the middle of September. I feel like my stomach is getting so big that it's actually drooping. OUCH!

Oh, that post baby bodyshaper looks amazing! I'm going to have to try it. I also love the band. I have bought several of those this pregnancy and they aren't as well made as this one appears to be so they roll on me all day and I'm constantly tugging at them!

Oh, that bodyshaper was meant for me and my post-twins and three other babies belly.

  13. I would love the body shaper. I recently bought 2 belly bands for my second pregnancy (due in March 2010) & I would love to have the body shaper to help get my belly back :)

  14. I would like the Skivvies–they look really comfy!!

  15. The band! Please the band.
