I have a way you can do both: spend time with your family AND use the Internet's growing resources at the same time. Hi, I'm Leslie and I'm an internet addict, blogging mom, podcasting team member and web developer. Clearly, I spend a lot of time online.
Now I'm going to share with you one of my favorite methods of stepping away.
You've probably heard of podcasts but might not really be sure what they are, how to listen to them, why anyone would want to listen to them and why on earth they are the "next hot thing."
Over the next few months I'll be introducing you to all things podcasts:
- What they are and why you need them.
- How to find podcasts, subscribe, and update.
- How to listen on your computer and other devices.
- A list of some amazing podcasts to get you started (also, be warned, I *may* pimp our podcast but don't begrudge me that. The women I work with are the awesome and I'd like to share them with you.)
- Radio broadcasting with podcasts
- Various methods of publishing your own podcast.
- Plugins that work with WP and EE for podcast publishing right from your own blog.
And, Finally:
If you have any specific questions, I encourage you to submit them to our network forum so we can address them here. Hopefully, over the next few months we'll grow your knowledge from an uncertain vocabulary word "podcast" and bring you up to "podcaster" yourself. Hang on tight! It's a fun ride.
