  1. I have such a fond memory of when my sister opened her gift, a gorgeous Diaper Cake we'd ordered online. It was sooooo much nice in person than it looked online, we were thrilled with it.

My friend Amy was the first among us to get pregnant and I wanted to throw her a baby shower. I'd never done so and had only been to a couple of them before. It was the most fun! We all just hung out and had so much fun. The baby food taste test was something that kept us all laughing throughout the whole shower!

  7. My favorite memory was my baby shower – it was so wonderful having all my closest friends & relatives celebrating my pregnancy/baby! Even my dad came which surprised & pleased me a lot :)

At my bridal shower last year, my aunt gave me some lingerie. She was the only one who did! My grandma said, "Well, at least someone got you some necessities!" My GRANDMA. It was hilarious!

  10. I remember at playing a fun game at a baby shower were we matched up cut up facial features of the daddy and mommy to create what we thought the baby would look like. It was hilarious!

  12. My favorite memory is the bottle drinking contest we had at my own baby shower. Baby bottles were filled with water, and we all had a contest of who could finish their bottle first. Sucking from those things is hard, and we sure had a fun time!

  13. My favorite memory is from the shower my sister and mom threw for me. We played this game were everyone got a little baby and everyone had to look in the diaper. Who ever had a poop diaper won a prize. I didn't win but it was fun to watch. Thanks for the chance.

  14. I'd love to be entered for this, thanks so much.

A favorite memory is one that I went to the other day. It was for a friend of mine and her aunt made her wear this headband…she had it on her head and they took photos…but she had NO idea what was on it. She soon realized it was about four condoms. It was definitely amusing!

  16. I have been to many, many baby showers over the years but my most precious memory comes from my most recent shower. I've started throwing baby showers at our local homeless shelter. Friends were so excited with the idea, many of them went shopping so the gifts come from various places. It's not a big, fancy thing and there really isn't a theme…. The memory. I will always treasure the last shower when one of the women walked up to me in the middle of it and thanked me for caring enough to show up and love them enough to keep coming back. So many of them are there because they've brought themselves to the point where no one they know wants anything to do with them anymore. They will readily admit they have messed up all of the relationships in their lives but… once in that shelter, they stay because they're trying to change that pattern. To have someone believe in them enough to keep coming back – not out of some sense of duty – is rare for them, apparently. It broke my heart that it's a fact but it also touched me knowing they recognize I'm there because I do love them – in all of their…messes they are still some of the most beautiful women I've ever met. It's a privilege for me to host these showers and I'm praying God grants me that privilege for a very long time.

  21. My favorite baby shower moment was at my cousin's shower. Most showers are boring but this was by far the best I've ever attended. My cousin's mom and sister did a great job of turning a drab pub into an enchanting baby shower world! The minute we walked into the room, we felt relaxed. The best moment came when another guest was nearly set to win the $25 gift card prize. She managed not to say 'baby' for nearly 1.5 hours while taking pacifiers off of anyone who said 'baby'. Then, she accidentally said it when tricked by another guest. My mother jumped up and yelled,"You said BABY! Give them up!" All of us were laughing hysterically as the woman gave up her 20-count pacifier necklace. Fun times!

  22. Mine is recent–at the shower for my baby girl my son (18 months) snuck over to the cake table and helped himself to licking the serving spatula. He could not get enough of that chocolate cake!

  23. My favorite baby shower memory is from My twin sister's baby shower that I threw for her! We had so much fun.
My girl friend made a hat for my sister out of all the bows and put in on my sister's head. Of course this was 24 years ago.. and things were TAME back then. We had HOME Made Food and the OLD Ladies talked about the Horror's of child birth! Dear Lord.. You would think they would have the common sense to shut their traps! hahah

The cake was chocolate with whip Cream icing and I remember it said..
    Pink or Blue
    We love you!
Well The baby was a Boy!!!
He is a GREAT man today!!

One of my girlfriends ended up with her skirt tucked into her thong panties at some point during my baby shower. My sister STILL cracks up at this three years later!

  34. My favorite baby shower memory was when I flew to Missouri from San Francisco to surprise my best friend for her baby shower (and to stay with her for several days while she was on doctor-ordered bed rest). I had actually helped plan and host it with her sister and mom…she just didn't know! She found out she was pregnant only weeks after I moved away and it was so difficult to be away from her. She's been my best friend for almost 20 years, but she's really like my sister. If she had said she needed me, I probably would have moved back just for her. All the guests had arrived at the shower and I walked in, completely nonchalant, and I will never forget the look on her face (or the tears!). It was so worth it. I loved that I got to be the best friend, sitting next to her, keeping track of the gift list….things a best friend should do.
