Fall is here — the kids are back in school, and it's time for football, falling leaves, and family traditions! Everyone has their own favorite things about fall. My husband and I make an event of it — the house gets a thorough cleaning (we call it allergy-proofing), plus I swap out the candles and go from lighter, citrus scents to heavier ones like vanilla and cinnamon. The fire pit makes its first appearance in the backyard and we build massive piles of leaves for the kids to jump into. I also transition my cooking from salads and lighter dishes to heartier soups and casseroles, and we really get into decorating for fall and Halloween.
So, now that we're getting back to fall, it's time for a contest!
Prizes? Oh right…we have a prize. A really awesome one.

Our friends at ScanPan have generously offered an 11 inch Scanpan CTX covered saute pan (retail $259.95) that is safe for you and the earth. The unique cooking surface is safe for metal utensils and allows for browning, searing and deglazing, which are things you can’t do with traditional nonstick cookware.
It requires little to no fat for cooking, so you can enjoy a healthy meal with minimal clean-up. The 5-layer clad-aluminum construction evenly and efficiently distributes heat without creating hotspots. All Scanpan cookware is oven safe to 500°F and cleans up easily in the dishwasher.
Scanpan is available exclusively at Sur La Table, both at stores nationwide and online.
Editor's note: I have a piece of Scanpan, which the manufacturer gave me during a previous giveaway, and I can personally attest that it is that good!
So how can you get your hands on this little beauty?

My favorite fall activities included decorating for Halloween, going to pick out pumpkins and taking a ride in the mountains to see the beautiful fall foliage!
