Review: Belli Skincare Line for Expectant Moms

Now that I am pregnant with baby #3, I can tell you one thing that is a given with pregnancy. Weird skin. Maybe it is too dry and itchy, maybe it is super oily and you are breaking out like you hit puberty again, maybe it is just ugly stretch marks appearing in unusual places. Whatever it is, most likely your skin isn't behaving in its usual fashion.

Belli Skincare is specifically made with pregnant women, mothers and babies in mind. I have been trying a few of their products from the Belli Pregnancy line and have fallen in love with their products. And Belli is the only skin care line in the world that is teratology screened. That is a fancy way of saying they take the time and care to make sure that there are no ingredients in their products that have even remotely been linked to birth defects or pregnancy problems. How's that for peace of mind?

The first product I sampled is their Skin Smoothing Body Exfoliator. Oh my goodness, I would use this stuff pregnant or not just for the smell. It is made with green tea, ginseng and peppermint oil and just wakes me up in the morning. And I find that regular exfoliation, especially of the belly area, has really cut down on that itchy feeling I typically get when pregnant. And it prepares my skin nicely for their Belly Oil.

Belli's Elasticity Belly Oil is made to help prevent stretchmarks. I can't speak totally to its efficacy because I have many left over from baby #1 and #2, but I love the way it hydrates my skin without leaving a greasy feeling despite being an oil. And I am certainly about not getting any more of those bad boys so I will lather on anything that may work.

Belli Skincare has some great gift baskets as well as a newborn line that looks fantastic. If you are expecting or someone you love is, I would encourage you to check out their products. If there is one thing a pregnant woman needs, besides sleep, it is a little pampering. I think that is the least we can ask for in exchange for growing a human.
