Brag On Him Friday – Week 23

From the mailbag this week:

I have to say I am very lucky to have a wonderful husband. My romantic loving story began 17 years ago when we met on New Year’s Day…1992. Michael was active duty Navy then and was scheduled to deploy for 6 months. The night he had to say good-bye he gave me a huge jar of M & M’s …184 to be exact (for each day he was going to be away) with a note taped to the bottom of the jar. He also scheduled with the local florist to send me flowers the 1^st of each month. Back then we would talk to each other using cassette tapes…no email available. Sometimes I would get the cassette tapes 3 weeks after he mailed them but it was still like talking to him on the phone. Finally, when the 6 months came to an end I found out that his little note said “pack your bags.” We have been married now for almost 17 years and have 3 great children!  To this day, I know I married my soul mate.
