Brag On Him Friday – Week 3

relationships Brag On Him Friday Week 3

This week's post comes from Gem of My So-Called Homeschool.

When we decided that I would go back to work a little over a year ago, one of our major concerns was the housework.  When I say our, I really mean it.  I had been the housewife for 5 years — and was still an abysmal housekeeper.  Jim has had his moments of “I cannot take this mess ONE SECOND LONGER!”, but for the most part just pitched in and helped between his 2-3 jobs.  It was a real concern that with me gone, it was going to get even worse.

Since I’ve been working, Jim has really stepped up with the Mr. Mom role.  Somehow Saturday and Sunday get away from us without my getting a lot done, and even though my work week is only 32 hours, it usually involves half-days which are spent in activities with the kids.  So, his “weekend” is usually Wednesday and Thursday, and he spends both days catching up the housework.

AND it's still clean and organized a week later!!! Further brag — he kept up with the folding and had the kids put their clothes away all week.
