Nothing can ruin the outdoor fun of summer like bugs.
This time of year brings about an invasion of pesky creatures, especially mosquitoes. They seem to come out of nowhere and leave painful, itchy, swollen bumps in their path. Although, we have to tolerate them this time of year, there are things we can do to minimize their ability to spoil our summer.
- Avoid bright clothing – choose light colors and khaki instead
- Try to avoid perfumes or products with heavy fragrances
- Choose an insect repellent that works for you and your family and apply according to package directions
- Make your yard an unwelcome place by removing still water and placing citronella candles outside
- Treat mosquito bites with an over the counter antihistamine.
Following these few simple can easily help you and your family fight the summer bite!
