Cowgirl Up With Frye Boots

Oh, how I wish this was a review. Alas, I am simply singing the praises of the iconic, classic Harness Boots by Frye which are equally at home on the town or on the horse.

When Nina Garcia, a judge on the Bravo show Project Runway, announced in her book The One Hundred that Frye Harness boots made her list, I swelled with stylish pride. I bought my red pair a few years ago when I was seriously contemplating a move to the country in a fit of suburban pique. I am still a city girl, and my daily travels don't take me anywhere near the range, but I'm usually wearing my boots.

Harness boots are an investment at $198 to around $250, but with the emphasis in fashion shifting solidly to quality over quantity, they are a safe bet. Neither too country nor too slick, with the tasteful harness strap and square toe , they are perfect.

And Harness boots are authentic cowgirl gear which meet the rigorous standards of my friend who actually owns a horse. When I told her I bought some cowgirl boots she snorted, but upon hearing they were Frye's said, "Yeah, you're good."

I can't say I knew I was buying the real deal at the time, but I was a smitten kitten and had to have them. The Frye Company was founded in 1863 and is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Their boots were worn by Confederate soldiers during the Civil War.

The classic Harness boots are a huge seller worldwide and have been featured in many a fashion layout. Frye makes the boot in quite a few styles and colors, so get y'all some harness boots and whether you're at the rodeo or city slicking it , you know you'll be stylish.

I LOVE my cowboy boots. I've had mine for years and have gone shopping in them and done a lot of horseback riding as well. I love the red!
