Creating Pretty Hooks for your coats and bags

home Creating Pretty Hooks for your coats and bags

Here's an easy and cost-effective way to make a really attractive hook-board.

1. Simply choose a medley of attractive hooks — be they from old cupboards or picked up at sales, or perhaps an unbroken one from old furniture.

2. Paint your board, drill through at regular intervals and screw your hooks into place.

3. Then using long screws and rawl-plugs (to ensure the board doesn't loosen if heavy coats are hung there), position and fix the board to the wall.

The style of your hooks will determine the style of your board — so you can be as vintage or contemporary as you like!

This one is almost too pretty to use for coats so a top tip: don't cover the prettiest hooks with coats, use them for your bags!
