The Rules of Engagement star is teaming up with Operation Helmet to provide 3,000 blast and impact-protecting helmet pads to U.S. combat troops. David Spade donated more than $100,000 to the organization which upgrades the helmets being issued to soldiers. Yahoo is reporting:
According to Dr. Bob Meaders, the founder and president of Operation Helmet, the current military-grade helmet pads caused pain, discomfort and headaches. The new ones, however, drastically cut down the amount of brain injuries from bombs, blast waves and vehicle accidents.”
