Dealing with Special Needs Back-To-School Issues

special needs back to school

We all know, as parents of special needs kids, that back-to-school time can be rough for everyone involved. New schedules, new people to deal with, re-inventing the wheel where your child's particular issues are concerned. We are continuously trying to come up with ways to lessen the anxiety, minimize backsliding, and basically make the road back to the school year as smooth as possible.

At SpecialNeedsParentCoach.com, founder Joan Celebi has created an incredibly helpful list of Action Steps for parents of special needs children. For the next couple of weeks, she will be highlighting this issue and publishing ideas for making the transition back to school as hassle-free as possible.

Celebi will also be hosting a free lunchtime teleseminar on the subject on August 19. Please be sure to register prior to the event if you plan to log on and attend.

Stay tuned for more of Celebi's Action Steps for back-to-school issues for special needs kids and their parents; and feel free to share some of the activities that you engage in to prepare your child to return to a school time schedule.
