Dissections for Home or Co-op

Starfish dissection

Starfish dissection

Dissection.

Is this an area of science you wish you could do but have no idea how to do it?  Home Science Tools makes it simple. They sell complete kits which include the necessary materials such as a pan, tools, dissection guides, and specimens. The specimens are initially fixed in formaldehyde and then rinsed clean so you have minimal odor and no special storage requirements, not even refrigeration.

Currently I am teaching a dissection class for our homeschool co-op.  The class has nine kids ages 9 to 14. Not only are they fascinated, but they are learning a lot about comparative anatomy.
