Therefore, when I wear eyeshadow, my goal is to lighten the area, rather than shade it. I cover my eyelid with a light yellowy-beige concealer, then add a coat of pale yellow shadow (Jane's Dream Cream is amazing.) Then I add a dark shade of olive green or brown shadow along my lashline, like Petit Elefant, more as eyeliner than shadow. If you're in a similar situation, try wearing the lightest shade you have on the area you want to bring out--in my case it's the eyelid, not my brow bone.
