It's hard to win "cool mom" points the way I did the day review copies of Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom
First up? Dora. No surprise. My kiddo is a huge Dora fan – and who am I kidding? So am I. In the title adventure on this DVD, Dora and her friends are on a mission to return the crystals and the color to the Crystal Kingdom after the Greedy King takes the crystals and drains the color from the Kingdom. I love the adventures – I love that my daughter learns some Spanish with each episode.
Next up, Animal Friends. Featuring six episodes, this DVD is a pretty thorough collection of Nick Jr favorites (Dora, Diego, Wonder Pets!, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Blue's Clues and Ni-Hao, Kai Lan). We have watched this DVD out of order. I believe there are two camps: those that like Yo Gabba Gabba and those who do not. My kids fall into the first category, so we have yet to watch that segment, however, The Wonder Pets? We've now seen "Save the Puppy" and "Save the Swan" more times than I can count. Overall, this is a well-rounded collection of your Nick Jr favorites and one I don't mind curling up on the couch to watch with my kiddos.
