Want to earn money for your school while helping the environment? You can do both by joining a Terracycle Brigade!
Terracycle is a unique company that takes "garbage" and turns it into usable products through a process called upcycling.
- Transforms used wine barrels into composters and rain barrels
- Fills used soda bottles with worm poop
- Crushes computers and fax machines into pots
- Makes kites from cookie wrappers
The list goes on and on.
Items that are either non recyclable or are difficult to recycle are just the kinds of items that Terracycle is looking for.
So how can you earn $ for your school? By sending these items to Terracycle instead of to the landfill.
For every item you collect and send to Terracycle you can earn between 2 and 25 cents for a non-profit organization of your choice.
- Drink pouches
- Cookie wrappers
- Chip bags
- Energy bars
- Corks
- Cell phones
- Yogurt containers
After you sign up for the brigade of your choice, Terracycle will send you collection bags. Then you fill up the bags with the brigade items, send the bags back to Terracycle, and Terracycle will send the non-profit of your choice $.
