Easy, Fun Photo Collage

photography Easy, Fun Photo Collage

I'd been asked by my colleagues to make collages of our work functions that have taken place over the last year, and I've been dreading doing them because it takes so long to do using Photoshop and other photo editing software.  But then I found a link to this free and easy to use tool that's available online which creates the most wonderful photo collages for you!

Vincent Cheung's Shape Collage: so simple to use, the processing is very fast, and the results are extremely impressive.

There's no need to use any fancy photo editing software at all!  It can save the results as a JPEG or RNG or as a PSD file (so you can manipulate it in Photoshop afterwards).

Here's how it works:

1.  Add the photos that you want to be included in the collage by either dragging them onto the page, or by adding them from the menu.

2.  Choose a shape from the standard shapes or create your own… the choices are endless.  The system even allows you to draw a shape of your own… so it's really only limited by your ability to draw.

3.  Set the size of the collage and the spacing between the photos and the quality of the resulting file.

4.  Choose the background and the border colours – the software allows transparent backgrounds and also allows an import of a JPEG file for a background.

5.  Create the collage.

Here are my results of collages that I've made:

It's as simple as that!

So guess what I'm doing next… all the office collages and I'm absolutely thrilled to know that it's going to take me literally minutes to complete.

Give it a try!  Download the application, find some photos to put into a  collage and you'll be as a pleased as I am with the results.
