Frugal Fashion for Recessionista Times – Part 3

fashion and style Frugal Fashion for Recessionista Times Part 3

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH AN OLD PAIR OF JEANS, AN OVER-SIZED TEE SHIRT, A GRAPHIC TEE, OLD SWEATER, AND USED WOMEN’S JACKET?
I gave a challenge to budding fashion designer, Leah Friend, from Bloomington, Indiana.  I asked Leah to come up with some interesting, trendy looks from items purchased from thrift stores.

This challenge is one that our designer, has mastered. She took an old ladies jacket, and used the pieces to make this great hobo style bag. This bag would be perfect for a book bag or laptop bag. When searching for a jacket to make a bag from, make sure that the fabric is substantial (think).

So, what will you do with those things you’ve cleaned out of your closet? Will you donate them, or repurpose them? Why not get together with some friends and get creative! Use your combined talents to come up with some truly unique wardrobe options!
