Germiest places we encounter

I recently read a post on ABCnews.com about the germiest places we encounter on a daily basis.

  • Purse & wallet
  • Remote control
  • Telephone
  • Carseats
  • Elevator buttons

There are probably a dozen lists just like this one out there. Lists that include a variety of other germy places;

  • Door knobs
  • Shopping cart handles
  • Keys
  • Toys
  • Computer keyboard and mouse

No matter what list you read the suggestions are the same:

  • Frequent disinfecting of the area
  • Vigilant hand washing (by you & your children)
  • Keeping your hands away from your face

With cold season upon us it is probably a good idea to take a few minutes and assess what the germist places in your house might be. Once you locate them, clean them!

I've read before that purses are really dirty since people keep putting them down on different places – even restroom floors!

    Very informative. Thanks for sharing!

  2. You’re welcome. I have heard that about purses too. My grandmother was always superstitious about putting her purse on the floor, so I always try to hang it up. If I have to put it on the floor for some reason I usually put it on a seat cover. Hopefully that keeps it kind of clean.
    Thank you for your comment!

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
