Our homes are more than just places to eat and sleep. They are places where memories are made.
What do you remember of home? The furniture arrangement? The way your Mother flipped pancakes in that 50 year old skillet of her Mothers? Or the smell of the roast that filled the air as you came in the door after church on Sunday?
I try to find ways to bring memories into my home — I get excited with even the littlest of things.
Where I find inspiration –
- Chocolate words on a plate
- That new vivid color spied at the home store
- Antique mirrors
- Fun Fabrics stacked neatly
- A crisp tailored blouse
- Unusual store displays
- Rusty metals
- Floral bouquet
- Fabulous fragrance
Where can you find inspiration? Things that will create memories for those you love?
- Go with things you love
- antique fair treasures
- mementos
- souvenirs
- pictures of places you traveled to or dreamed about
Making Memories and inspiration go hand in hand – they evolve slowly, layer by layer, the mix of remembered objects old and new reads like a visual biography of who we are and what we want our home to be. More times than not…it's the feelings, fragrances, textiles and the people we remember when we think about home.
Don't be shy about changing things or adding new ideas; if they come form you, your family with love them. Have a little fun.
You can never go wrong with creating special moments for those you love. When all is said and done — those moments will be the most remembered accessory in your home.

I love the chocolate writing idea. You are so creative.
I think if I tried to write with chocolate it would not turn out as nice. Great ideas.
Fun idea using the chocolate. If someone didn't feel confident enough to write a word they could just make a design. I like the word idea the best, makes a statement.
everything look good, go job teresa
