Are you engaged in the ongoing beauty battle against under-eye circles and puffiness?

Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most women struggle to conceal the bags or dark circles that camp out under their eyes due to allergies, vitamin deficiencies, or in my case, just plain heredity. So what’s a girl to do? Here are some strategies to help you kiss your raccoon-eyes goodbye!

• For occasional dark circles and puffiness, try a natural remedy. Quick eye pick-me-ups work well if you battle under-eye circles only when you are tired or stressed. Cold cucumber slices, wet caffeinated tea bags, or even refrigerated spoons can be applied to your eyes for 10-15 minutes to relieve swelling and fade discoloration.

• If dark under-eye circles are a chronic problem, then Girl, you need to get your PRODUCT ON! There are almost forty products listed on Sephora.com alone to combat eye circles and puffiness. I’ll highlight three popular eye products you can use to get rid of those puffy peepers.

From your Mary Kay consultant you can purchase TimeWise Targeted Action Eye Revitalizer.

This is the product that I use and it is amazing. Before I started using this, I had to spackle on about fourteen layers of concealer every morning. After using it, I saw my dark circles fade within just a couple of days, and I was sold! I use it faithfully every day and now there is hardly any discoloration beneath my eyes at all. Best of all, it comes in an easy-to-apply roller, and it lasts FOREVER. I am still using the same roller I purchased eleven months ago! I will never go without it again. It retails for $35.00 for .34 oz.

At the Makeup Counter you can purchase Clinique’s All About Eyes.

This cream-gel formula is gently patted under the eyes each day and also helps hold your makeup in place. It retails for $46.00 for 1 oz. and $27.50 for .5 oz.

At your local drug store you can purchase the Garnier Nutritioniste Anti-Puff Eye Roller.

This also comes in an easy-to-apply roller and has received rave reviews from consumers. In fact, many drug stores have had trouble keeping it in stock! It retails for $12.99.

  1. Nothing said "tired" like my undereye circles – no matter how much sleep I got there they were, greeting me in the mirror every morning. I got fed up and started trying as many eye creams as possible. I raided Sephora (and my checking account too) for eye creams. Zero results (like the balance in my checking account by that point). I took my search online and came across a brand called Isabella Pelle. They make an eye cream called Extreme Eye Rescue. They offer free shipping, so what the hey – I tried them out. I am in love with this eye cream. It reduced my undereye circles enough that with a dab of concealer they're actually, well, concealed (i had REALLY dark circles) and I even feel that the skin quality around my eyes has improved greatly. My eyes look younger and that makes me happy lol VERY happy. Anyways, hope this helps. Check them out online ;)
