Google Reader's Next Function

technology Google Readers Next FunctionWanna try something cool?

  • In your Google Reader's Settings section, there is a tab called "Goodies." Click on it.
  • You should then see a section called, "Put Reader in a bookmark."
  • Drag the "Next" link to your bookmark bar.
  • Any time you want to see something from your subscribed feeds, just click that "Next" link and you'll go to the page – not Reader, but the actual blog post – of the next unread item in your feed subscriptions.

I'm liking this Goodie. It feels like Stumbling, but I'm getting through my subscribed feeds and visiting the actual blogs, which I often prefer over reading them in a feed reader. And because you're on the blog, it makes it a little bit easier to comment, too.
