Aw how funny! This is the same title I had picked for my article. Isn’t funny how many times we are asked that question? My answer is always the same. The secret to my success is routine which I hope to write about very soon. BTW, your kids are adorable and you have me beat by one. I have 4: one 13yo teenage daughter and 3yo bbg triplets!!!! The other statement I hear almost as much is “Boy your hands are full!”; I’m too shy to say what I’m thinking “YES actually they are but so is my heart!” I remember the days I had empty arms and longed to be a Momma and that is the silent motivator that pushes me through the random chaotic moments to find the those sweet, precious and calm moments that us Moms live for.

I only have three kids (twins and one more) and still people ask me this question! The other day an older gentleman did the ‘you’ve got your hands full… how do you manage?” thing and I just smiled and said I only have three kids, it’s not that hard and then he admitted that he and his wife had six!

I also think its a bit odd when people ask me: “How do you cope?” Fine thank-you!!! Inevitably more than a few people will ask this when we are out and about and always want to say: “How does it look like we are coping?” Great thank-you!!! Just getting through the day one step at a time!

Wow, you beat me. I’ve got 3, and then twins (currently, 8 1/2, 6 1/2, and 4 1/2 yo girls, followed by the twin 20mos old boys).

I ditto you, though–people asked me the same thing (still do)…what am I going to say? “Um, I lock them in a closet all day”? Please…yes, especially when they are newborns, one exists in a seemingly endless “fog” of sleepless nights, constant feedings and diaper changes and never-ending laundry…

Wait. Other than the diaper changes, that sounds almost like having teenagers….oh dear.

LOL

Anyway, yes, you just have to do what needs to be done right then…prioritize your day–laundry and food. Cleaning, errands (hahahahahahahahaha!), doctor apptmts, etc, are all nice…but you have to keep up with the laundry and everyone needs to eat.
