OK, OK, some of you might look at the title of this post and think <evil eye> auto-tweeting is wrong!</evil eye>
Not so. Spamming is wrong. But sharing what you find is a great way to add value to your Twitter stream and increase your followers.
Enter TwitterFeed. TwitterFeed will automatically tweet any RSS feed you set up. You enter in an RSS feed, tell it how often to check for new posts, and type in text to precede and/or append to the link. You can even get stats on how many people click on your links from your Tweets. Here are a few things you might consider sharing through TwitterFeed:
- Your blog posts: Use your blog's RSS URL.
- Posts that you comment on: Use your RSS feed from CoComment, Disqus, etc.
- Pages you share/favorite: Use your RSS feed from Delicious, Google Reader Shared Items, StumbleUpon, Etsy, etc.
If you spend time online finding valuable information, share it with the Twitterverse. We'll love you for being so kind and sharing.
