A simple tray can be one of the handiest tools in our kitchens — from carrying dishes, to breakfast in bed, or for kitchen display. Why not take a simple design and step it up a bit?
- simple white tray from Target- $12.95
- cut wrapping paper to fit in bottom-lay tray on top of paper and trace bottom for pattern.
- add accessories for a fun display or
- surprise someone with breakfast in bed.
Other trays work just as well, like this antique tray — add cut glass to the top for protection.
Sometimes it's the simple little things that make a big difference!

that looks nice
Oh, adorable! So…where do you STORE your trays? Do they stack nicely? (I know- painfully pragmatic.)
Hi Myrnie-
as for storing the trays- I have a pantry that has tall vertical slates in it, like for storing cookie sheet- some of them go in there- but more times than not, they are in use all the time.
Thanks for stopping by-
Teresa
will you come and serve me breakfast on one of those?
(Beautiful, Teresa.)
fun idea!
Cute! Did you use modge podge or just lay the paper inside without glue or tape?
fun & cute
That's clever. I love your style!
♥ LOVE IT! ♥ I also love the lamp shade, too cute!
Thanks for sharing Teresa.Trays are great room accessories and can be very useful for moving things from one room to another or holding small displays.I usually find trays at yard sales and thrifts for good prices,so I have an assortment of sizes and styles. Some have been painted, decoupaged,or like the antique tray,a piece of glass cut for one, and pictures or nice paper put underneath.keep in mind that paper can make a basic tray decorative and useful for any occasion or holiday.Just change the paper and you have another look for just the cost of the paper.
