Make this sweet sequins bookmark to tuck into a special Valentine card. This simple project only takes 30 -60 minutes to make. Why not include one along with a favorite book for someone special?
One can also substitute the heart sequins with any other shape such as , leafs, stars, etc. These fun little bookmarks are perfect for Valentine's Day or any other time you need to give a sweet little gift!
Supplies:
sequins – carried at most craft stores
embroidery floss
scissors
1. Take two strands from a piece of embroidery thread. The thread should measure roughly 24 inches.
2. Tie a knot at the bottom of the thread. String two heart sequins on the thread and pull down to the knot.
3. Make a second knot one centimeter above the first knot. Thread two more sequins and pull down to the second knot.
4. Continue to knot and thread sequins until the bookmark is at the desired length. Tie last knot. Trim excess thread.
When the book is closed, the sequins will lie flat.

That is really a great idea! I'm going to add this to my list of craft ideas to try. My girls would have a blast making these with me too, which is even better. Too bad I don't have the necessary materials already. Oh well. Michaels has been calling me for two days now (Not literally, but I went in there with a friend the other day and have been wanting to go back to shop for myself BADLY!), so I should just give in and go pick these up while I'm there. hehehe
