I am Blissfully Domestic – Memorial Day Edition

i am blissfully domestic I am Blissfully Domestic Memorial Day Edition

Today's I am BD post will be a bit different, because it's a tribute to our military men and women who have given their lives protecting our lives and our country. I have two videos to share with you. The first is the ceremony at the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington Cemetery.  The second tribute video by Michael Sanders at Flopping Aces. I hope you enjoy them.

Those of you who are from small towns and rural areas will especially like Rick Moran's piece at Pajamas Media.

So what have you done this Memorial Day weekend? Today, I got the chance to go kayaking down river by myself. It was so wonderful and relaxing. Here's one picture that I snapped with my disposable waterproof camera:

I can tell you it really was as refreshing and relaxing as it looks in the picture. The only sounds were the sound of my paddle moving through the water and the wildlife. What a wonderful way to renew the spirit and the mind.

Kimberly at Raising Olives didn't get down to nature, but she tackles the big job of kids' chores. Head on over to her site and check out how she delegates the chores in her house. It's impressive.

Thanks again for joining us, and if you're new, please follow the guidelines below.
