I am Blissfully Domestic – Week 18

i-am-blissfully-domestic-bread

Have I ever told you that my house is filled to the brim with a husband, three kids, and two dogs? Actually I should say two and a half dogs. Even though our Great Dane is not yet one year old, she is so big she really should count as a dog and a half.  So with all the adults, kids and dogs in one not so big house, even a good day can get a bit crazy.

Yesterday was one of those not so good days. Everyone was just a bit “off.” We were all cranky, nearly biting everyone’s head off for just looking at each other cockeyed. Maybe it’s that we’re all feeling a little cabin feverish with our long winter. And since my two younger kids have been dealing with sickness for what feels like the entire month of February we haven’t had much chance to get out and escape. I’m telling you this because I’m hoping you’ll understand why I went to bed last night – emotionally spent and a bit crazed – without posting this week’s I am Blissfully Domestic link party post. So I’m posting it this morning.

A big thank you to Herb of Grace for answering my call for tips on easy clothing storage. Also, stop by Christin’s post at Journey to a Gracious Woman on household time management as well. Their posts go well together.

Have a great time linking and reading everyone’s posts. And keep those chins up. Spring is almost here. Don’t forget that we get to turn our clocks forward one hour this weekend. The days will be getting longer! Whew.

Note: I forgot to change the date on Mr. Linky when I first saved this post, so if you added your link once, would you please link to it again! I’m sorry for the confusion, but the links that were there before were from December 1, 2008.

Here are the guidelines and buttons!

  • Grab a Bliss Button for your post (here)
  • Link a post from the past 7 days.
  • Your post can be about any topic we cover at Blissfully Domestic.
  • Please link to your specific post not to your main blog page.

  • Once you’ve linked in, visit some of the others sharing their bliss.
  • Leave lots of comment love!
  • AND OF COURSE: Please remember to link back to this post, so that others can join in.

I was just wondering if I missed something. So far most everyone else has a holiday theme. And some of the links aren’t working. Just curious if something is wrong with Mr. Linky or something. Thanks.

  2. Christin

Hoping your day is less crazy and stressful today! I know those days, too.

Thank you for the the link love. :) I’ll check back on Mr. Linky in a bit. I did leave my link but if it gets updated, I’ll come back and leave it again. I noticed the holiday theme, too!

  5. I’m new to the link party, so I didn’t leave enough detail in my link, but I just love this network!

  6. Donna @ Another New Season

Sounds like you’re having a day like mine lately…just “off”.

Here’s hoping we can get back on track soon! (If I don’t, I know I may just lose my mind!)

I so admire you women with more than one child. I have a daughter who’s going to be ONE on Saturday (crazy!), and I already have my hands full. So, Kim, God bless you, and may you all have an “on” day soon.

  9. What a lovely idea! I’ll have to check these posts out! I think everybody is just ready for spring around here. I love the snow, it’s so pretty, but I would love to have some warm sunshine. So cool that you have a Dane, always wanted one. Love the name of your blog too!

Do you like to eat ice cream before bed, or is it just us?
