If You Have a Girlfriend, Man Up!

entertainment If You Have a Girlfriend, Man Up!

Jillian and the men after her heart are headed to Vancouver, the Bachelorette's hometown, to continue the quest for love. After last week's episode with scary Dave making a fool of himself, we are anxious to see if the wild card of the group gets to continue on the show.  I promised myself I'd stop giving him the time of day….anyway.

The first date is a one-on-one with Kiptyn the Kisser. Have you noticed they seem to really enjoy kissing eachother? Ahem. So Jillian, clad in her glad-bag jacket (thanks to Hubby for that observation), takes Kiptyn on a Kayak adventure with their destination being a market to purchase goodies for dinner. We know that the Bachelorette is driven by adventure and she finds out that Kiptyn can keep up the pace with her, no problem. Their time together is relaxed and has many romantic, intimate moments, especially the nuzzling going on in the kitchen! It is no surprise that Kiptyn gets the date rose.

Next up, Olympic curling!  Vancouver will host the 2010 Winter Games, and are the boys up to par when it comes to competition?  Split into two teams, the group-date  vies for a more intimate chance to see Jillian.  With Jesse at the helm, the "red" team wins and is taken on a boat trip, that ends in a major creep-out fest!   Dave, who Jill says she feels a "buddy" connection with, is…surprise-probably drunk and tries to go in for the kiss.  Rejected he clearly sports a negative attitude.  Let's not forget the crude comments he says about her rear and breasts (using other words).  I believe right then and there Jillian cried for help in her mind and knew that was the end of the road for Dave!  Jake is confronted and told he is much too perfect to be true, mentioning he's always been told that same thing.   I think he's genuine, but that's just me.  Jesse leaves with a rose pinned to his shirt.

Mike and Mark get the dreaded 2-on-one date, with ultimately one man going home.  Clearly overtaking the conversations and making Mark the 3rd wheel, Mike makes his push for Jillian's attention. But, in the end, Mark gets the rose.

At the "most shocking rose ceremony yet" Jillian is told by none other than foot-fetish-freak Tanner P. that some or one of the men has a girlfriend back home.  Shocked and hurt, the cocktail party is cut short and Chris Harrison tells Jillian to make the men come clean.  The men are angry and Michael states that this turn of events is taking true time away from his chance to know Jillian.  All eyes are clearly on Wes, who is everyone's best guess by his own conversations with the men.  No one can "man up" to the accusation and the rose ceremony is stalled even longer.

Ultimately, Dave and Juan are sent home (hopefully not in the same cab). The 10 men left are, Reid, Jesse, Kiptyn, Robby, Mark, Ed, Michael, Wes, Jake, and Tanner P.

Will the truth come out in the next episode?  You clearly see Jill crying in the previews, what will happen next!?

  1. So glad Dave got sent home. I'm with you, wondering what next week will bring…

Okay, Dave totally scared me. I think he has an anger problem and a drinking problem. I can't believe she kept him as long as she did. I don't think Juan is right for Jill, and I'm not sure he is being genuine, but I would have liked him to stay one episode longer than Dave, just as the last spike to Dave's ego.

I liked Wes in the first couple episodes, but I believe the rest of the guys when they say he is not there for the right reasons. He is totally playing Jillian, and I wish she could see that. She really does seem like a genuine person. He's playing the game and I think his goal is "winning" instead of falling in love.

    Can't wait for next week!

I haven't seen any of this season yet – maybe I will have to tune in once or twice… (I am from Vancouver too.)

I don't know…have only been watching with one eye/ear. Now that school's out, though, I'll have much more time to tune in!

Will you see the new Twilight movie New Moon on Friday?
