When I turned thirty almost two years ago, I got serious about my skin care routine. I don't think there's anything better we as women can do to take care of ourselves. After all, you can buy a new pair of jeans or the latest fashionable sweater, but you can't buy new skin. So take care of the face you've got! Here are three steps to a solid skin-care routine.
1) Cleanse – this may seem elementary, but you need to WASH your face with a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type. If you're not sure what skin type you have, go see a Dermatologist or skin care professional and find out!
2) Exfoliate – use a cleanser or separate skin care with some exfoliation power to slough off dead skin and help your skin renew itself. I use a microdermabrasion set from Mary Kay two to three times a week to help exfoliate, erase fine lines, and keep my skin soft and smooth. I *love* it, it's my favorite skin care product EVER.
3) Moisturize – Replenish your skin's moisture after you cleanse! A good moisturizer also helps protect your skin from the elements during the day. Use a moisturizer with an SPF for extra protection.
Be consistent with these steps – especially cleansing and moisturize day AND night – and you'll be on your way to beautiful skin – your best natural asset!

Great tips! I agree that it's very important to take care of your skin. I am 29 and have been serious about my facial regimine for about 2 years now. I now religiously moiturize and try to be much better about taking off my make up before bed. Very important!
Great tips!
At 36, I've been obsessed about my face since I was in my 20's. It's our first "step" when we meet someone, I've never wanted to be the person that people said, "Wow.. i thought she was A LOT older"
Hopefully everyone realizes how to stay youthful, even if our genes don't want us to!
My skin is super sensitive and has a way of responding negatively to most new product I put on it. Because of this, I used to go all out and by the "top of the line" cleansers, etc… I just found Cetaphil, which is awesome and affordable! I can't believe how great it is on my skin – almost through my first bottle and not one breakout yet (knock on wood!). That is some sort of personal record! I use their moisturizer as well and think it is just a great product all around. After reading this, though, I am going to have to see if they offer an exfoliator. The old cleanser line I used did and I didn't think I needed it. Thanks for the tip!
