Jane Seymour Natural Advantage Skincare

fashion and style Jane Seymour Natural Advantage Skincare

When the Style editor asked if I wanted to try a sample of the Jane Seymour skin care line, I jumped at the opportunity. Given how awesome Jane Seymour looks for her age (I know, but I had to say it, that's the POINT), I had to try this age-defying line.

I have had the furrows between my eyebrows for ages – in fact, they were already present in my wedding photos nine years ago. I have laugh lines, smile lines, and even the beginnings of wrinkles from my dimples. I'm not thrilled about that. Though I "earned" those wrinkles, I don't really want them.

First things first, this skin care line (cleanser, AM moisturizer, a night cream and a neck cream) was non-irritating for my sensitive skin. It's not unusual for product to make me break out – I've even broken out from pimple cream! – but this didn't bother my skin at all. Initially, the product tingled a bit – that's from the retinols used. What I was never able to fall in love with? The smell. Everything smells kind of like an off-brand baby care product.

The end result? After a month of using, I did notice an improved skin texture. I even noticed a bit of a reduction in the depth of those dreadful between the eye furrows, but the difference wasn't marked enough that anyone commented on how much better I looked.

If you're looking for a new skin care line, this might be the one for you, especially if you have sensitive skin.  You can order a starter kit for ony $29.95 at Natural Advantage's website, which is a great low-risk price!
