Who doesn't love free stuff? I'm always trying to come up with free or inexpensive ways to spruce up my house, so I was thrilled when I stumbled across Feed Your Soul: the free art project from Jen Wallace, the writer behind the blog Indie Fixx . It almost seemed too good to be true. Here's what she says:
"Even though the economy is tanking, it’s more important than ever to stay positive. We shouldn’t dwell on the negative news, it’s just not doing our souls any good. To that end, I came up Feed Your Soul: the free art project to hopefully bring a smile to your face and brighten your day."

All you have to do is go to the Downloads page of the site, download the artwork, and print it to the size you want — that's it! Super cute, trendy art by real live artists, all donated to put a smile on your face. There's a good variety of images there to fit different styles and decor.
I loved the owl print by Amy Ruppel and the sweet little girl and boy in the tree by Mandy Sutcliffe; both of those images are now gracing different rooms in my house.

What's an inexpensive way that you've updated your decor recently?

What a great site! Thanks for sharing it and showing your art, it looks great! Free is very good.
I LOVE the little boy and girl in the tree! Just darling! I had no idea that site existed. Thanks for sharing it!
i took apart a calendar from 2008 and matted each of the photos on a textured cardstock and strung a thread through each. grouped wall art!!
Good idea, Jeni! I've framed calendar pages before – great way to fill up blank wall space inexpensively.
