Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source ~ Anais Nin
Love–whether it's for the self, our family or others in our lives–must be cultivated, actively pruned and watered faithfully if it is to blossom, sprout leaves or bear fruit.
I often forget to water my plants–okay, I almost always forget to water them. And just like the law of physics suggest, for every action, there is a reaction. If we neglect or refuse to water the seeds of love for our family, spouses and friends, we must be prepared to accept the consequence: dried withered roots, pale weak limbs and ultimately, death.
If love is to abound in our every day life, we must make it a top priority to give it the nutrients and sustenance it needs to flourish. Whether that sustenance consists of prayer, words of encouragment, smiles, optimism or sincerity, be sure to give love what it needs to blossom. After all, you can only reap what you're willing and faithful to sow.
