Make a Mini-Museum

I love museums.   The way they look, the way they smell and perhaps the way they take me back in time to my schooldays.  Those anticipated days "off" from school when Mom packed special treats in my lunchbox and I got to ride the school bus with my friends.

As a mom, I love taking advantage of our local museum's kid free programs.  The boys love looking at fossils and learning about different pre-historic animals.  They also love art–both admiring and creating.  So when I saw this absolutely fabulous project on No Time for Flash Cards I had to share it with all of you.

It's so simple and easy and will lend hours of fun for your kiddos. I also love how you can incorporate art history lessons in a fun and practical way.  I think children grasp concepts much more easily when introduced in a fun way.  The possibilites are endless with this project!
