To keep all of my school stuff organized, I use my mom binder which grew out of keeping my unit study supplies organized. As we have evolved from unit studies to a more eclectic homeschool style, my binder has grown with me.

The first page is a clear page protector that holds my lesson plans for the week. The lesson plan page is printed from Donna Young.org (Wednesday is blank for a field trip day).

Behind that is a section for the attendance records that I maintain for our state and a section for our school calendar. Though it's not set in stone, I try to plan our calendar at the beginning of each school year so that I have a general idea of what we will be doing.
Following those two sections are sections for each of the school subjects for which I need to make copies: language arts, history and science. When I do lesson plans, I make the copies I need of all reproducibles for the week (or two weeks or a month — whatever I'm planning for).
Next are sections for resources and library information. In the resources section, I have my meal planning forms, miscellaneous instructions (like the instructions for games that tend to get lost if left with the games), or uplifting "mom devotionals" that I've printed.
The library section has a page that lists the pertinent information for the libraries we use: our card numbers, library phone numbers and hours of operation, along with a form listing what books we have checked out, which library they came from and when they are due.

My mom binder has been a sanity-saving tool in our homeschool!

I don't homeschool but I use something similar to keep track of my children's school papers, except instead of a binder I use manila folders.
