I run a blog community, and I always tell people that it is not as easy as it seems! To make a sustainable website takes a great deal of time, hard work and ... people should never forget the importance of having something interesting to say. It's not enough to be a technician or a designer or whatever you happen to be. To get users, and therefore income, you need to have something to say that other people will want to read. It’s so true. Problogger has been my "guiding light" when it comes to blogging. I think for a lot of new bloggers, like me, it is a little difficult balancing time between doing the proper research and maintaining the blog.
