As editor of Blissful Style, I often get to review salon or specialty hair products, which is very fun for me. Some of these I've loved and have written reviews of. One or two I've even decided I can't live without. But as I'm a sensible, frugal girl, I still have quite a few favorite products that can be found at your neighborhood drugstore. Lucky for you, I'm going to share my picks with you!
Infusium 23 (frizz)ologie 
is my favorite shampoo and conditioner. It's actually a three-step set, including a leave-in treatment as well. My hair is dry and definitely has frizzy tendencies but this stuff leaves it soft and tame! Plus it smells wooonderful. Infusium has other formulas for different types of hair including (repair)ologie, and (colour)ologie. I highly recommend this brand, which retails for about $6-$7 a bottle at drugstores and mass retailers.
Garnier Fructis Style Wonder Waves Spray
and Mousse are two of my newest favorite products. I bought them after I discovered how to work with my wavy hair using the Remington Emi hair dryer (which I reviewed here), and they both work great. I use the mousse when my hair is wet before I style to help mywaves stay in, and I use the spray when I need to wet down my hair and re-style it after sleeping on it (we dry-haired girls don't wash every day! Don't judge me.) I love both of these products and they also smell great in addition to working well! These retail for $3-$4 at drugstores and mass retailers.
Dove Intense Damage Therapy Heat Shield Styling Spray
is a product I discovered by chance when grocery shopping at Kroger. It was on clearance and I had a coupon; I bought it on a whim and now I love it! I spray it on my hair before I blow dry it or as I'm flat-ironing it, and it really protects my hair from the heat of the appliances. It's not sticky, it's lightweight, and it works! You can also get this for about $3-$4.
Tresemme Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray
is the. best. hairspray. EVER. It has great hold, it's not sticky, it works for hours and hours, and really protects against humidity. LOVE it! And it's usually about $4-ish. CVS often has Tresemme products 3/$10. You can't beat that price!
Ellin Lavar Detangle Mist is a leave-in conditioner/detangler spray that I like using on my hair when I need to wet it down when I'm refreshing my style. It helps take care of any dryness or frizzies I'm having and preps my hair to be re-styled. I also use it to detangle my daughter's hair all the time. It works great and smells awesome too! This brand is available only at CVS and is regular priced at $7.99, but is often on sale for less.
So, those are my favorite over-the-counter, readily available hair care products. What are yours?

Wow, perfect timing. I just got a style that's not been makin' momma happy. I need some new products to help me out. Do you recommend a root booster or a curl intensifier?
I would definitely recommend the Tresemme root booster! Not sure about a curl intensifer, but I am really happy with everything Tresemme that I've tried, so you might check to see if they have one of those also!
Can anyone else leave a comment to recommend a curl intensifier?

I love the Infusium, too!! My sister found it several months ago and I used hers while I was visiting and fell in love. I also love the Garnier products! I use their smoothing milk when I'm straightening my hair sometimes. I'll have to try the others!
My hair is pretty frizzy in the summer, but I have found that if I use Aussie 3Minute Miracle Conditioner, my hair requires less product.
I'm not big on aerosol hairsprays, so I'm always on the look out for a non-aerosol product. I've fallen in love with Dove Extra Hold. It smells wonderful, holds well, and doesn't have a trace of sticky in it.
I have thick curly hair that is very long. My favorite products for my curls is Shine polishing styling mousse. I find that the products work better right after my hair has been washed (duh) and while my hair is still very damp but not dripping. I generously apply the Shine mousse and scrunch it in. Then I finish it off with Aussie Sprunch Hair Spray "flexible" hold. I actually accidentally bought the hair spray thinking it was mousse and when I realized what it was, if figured I'd try it anyway and my curls turned out really smooth and shiny. WAY better than with just the Shine mousse which I've used for over 10 years now. I also love Aussie's Moist Shampoos and conditioners (their large pump sized bottles are $5.00 each) and the Aussie 3 minute Miracle (about $30.00) They mousse and the hair spray both cost under $5.00 each, and I usually clip manufacturer's coupons for the Aussie products, so it's pretty cheap.
When I want to splurge a little. My favorite curls products are Tigi Curls Rock leave in moisturizer which I apply first to damp hair (same as I would the mousse) and then I follow it up with the Tigi Curls Rock Curl Booster (same as I would the Aussie hair spray). These products leave my curls soft, frizz free and defined without the "product" look to it. It's very natural looking. Both products cost around $15.00 each but most salons usually offer sales and specials.
