Plan A Garden Party!

garden Plan A Garden Party!

Gather your family and friends and celebrate your garden. You've worked hard to have a garden so why not enjoy it? Even if you just have one pot on the back patio — go ahead and call it a gardening party, who knows maybe  your guests may even be in the mood to pull a few weeds. For fun, invite them to come dressed in their favorite garden attire.

  • Fill individually labeled mason jars with water and have each guest make their own centerpiece. Make sure to have cute labels for them to tie to their jar.
  • We made a seed packet tree, using wildflowers, ribbon, and clear envelopes, hung from a branch painted white and held up with an old garden pot.
  • Invite your guest to bring and share their favorite garden salad.
  • For centerpieces — don't blow your budget, pick the foliage from your own garden.
  • Send your guest home with their very own centerpiece, and one of the seed packets from the tree.garden Plan A Garden Party!Go ahead plan a party! Here's a little help:

What a great party – I love parties just for "because" as apposed to all the kids birthday party goodies around. The idea of friends gathering together for a lovely time just sounds wonderful! Fabulous post!

What a sweet idea! It looks so refreshing and lovely! I think having the guests create centerpieces that they can take home later is such a nice touch.

Great idea – you may want to phrase the invites to be very clear that it's a gardening party and not a garden party. A garden party is traditionally an outdoor formal event, and cotton or linen floral print sleveless or strapless dresses are often sold as "garden party dresses".

  4. It's always fun to have a party! I love how you pull it together so beautifully!

  5. What a wonderful day for all you ladies.

  6. The "Garden Party" was so much fun and what a wonderful place to Have one!! The Andersen's have such a beautiful, fun, place to have such an event and Teresa is such a great hostess!! I also really like their "Tree House". Makes me want to be a kid again!! I know their grandchildren must have a wonderful time when they get to come to grandma and grandpa's home. There is a lot of love in that "Heaven on Earth"!!
