Gather your family and friends and celebrate your garden. You've worked hard to have a garden so why not enjoy it? Even if you just have one pot on the back patio — go ahead and call it a gardening party, who knows maybe your guests may even be in the mood to pull a few weeds. For fun, invite them to come dressed in their favorite garden attire.
- Fill individually labeled mason jars with water and have each guest make their own centerpiece. Make sure to have cute labels for them to tie to their jar.
- We made a seed packet tree, using wildflowers, ribbon, and clear envelopes, hung from a branch painted white and held up with an old garden pot.
- Invite your guest to bring and share their favorite garden salad.
- For centerpieces — don't blow your budget, pick the foliage from your own garden.
- Send your guest home with their very own centerpiece, and one of the seed packets from the tree.

Happy Day

What a great party – I love parties just for "because" as apposed to all the kids birthday party goodies around. The idea of friends gathering together for a lovely time just sounds wonderful! Fabulous post!
What a sweet idea! It looks so refreshing and lovely! I think having the guests create centerpieces that they can take home later is such a nice touch.
Great idea – you may want to phrase the invites to be very clear that it's a gardening party and not a garden party. A garden party is traditionally an outdoor formal event, and cotton or linen floral print sleveless or strapless dresses are often sold as "garden party dresses".
It's always fun to have a party! I love how you pull it together so beautifully!
What a wonderful day for all you ladies.
The "Garden Party" was so much fun and what a wonderful place to Have one!! The Andersen's have such a beautiful, fun, place to have such an event and Teresa is such a great hostess!! I also really like their "Tree House". Makes me want to be a kid again!! I know their grandchildren must have a wonderful time when they get to come to grandma and grandpa's home. There is a lot of love in that "Heaven on Earth"!!
