Yummmm, hummus. I'm a chic pea lover and hummus is just delightful. My fave is roasted red pepper hummus. And you're absolutely right, its perfect in the summer. My children eat this stuff up like it's candy. Whoo hoo!!

Suzanne, the recipe is just what you see: olive oil, sliced tomatoes & mozzarella topped with fresh basil and viola! For added kick, I like to marinate my mozzarella in a crushed garlic soaked in olive oil. Hope that helps! And its tastes heavenly; plus you're body will thank you!

Using your intuition is the best way to cook! How else does one make a smoked turkey & spiced gouda dipping sauce?? Like you I loooove to cook. Its the creativity and spontaneity that draws me the most!

Selena, the picture of the mozzarella and tomatoes looks wonderful! Add a bit of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and some fresh basil and you've got yourself a Caprese salad. It's wonderful in the summer. The site you linked to included hummus and vegetables. I love hummus! Especially garlicky hummus.

Thank you for this info Selena. I have been looking for some more good recipes that will satify my cravings without dragging me down, making me feel blah after eaten and help slim the waistline. I too LOVE food!

One question very important to me...where is the recipe to that picture above this blog!! I love tomatoes! (my fav food) and I really want to make that for lunch sometime :) looks like, tomatoes, basil?, and...fresh mozzerella? Wondering if there's any more to it. Looks simple, refreshing, satisfying and scrumptious!

Thanks!

Selena -

I hear you! I grew up in a household that was fed off freezer foods, cans, and boxed, processed foods. After moving out and discovering the joy of actual fruits and veggies, meats and fishes, and my personal favorite...spices... All I can say is that I LOVE cooking!

Even more, I love cooking for others! Apparently, I'm a pretty good chef; the last few meals that anyone's asked me to make have turned out splendidly, despite me not using a recipe and going with my intuition (better known as my tastebuds).

Keep cooking!
