Finally – the explanation as to why my eyes get so irritated if I walk near the dishwasher while it’s working! I need to replace my chlorine-filled dishwasher detergent to chlorine-free. I would have never thought of chlorine as the irritant, although I probably should have. Great site – thanks for the link and the giveaway!

“Plant oils are less likely to create an allergic response. Additionally, unlike synthetic fragrance, plant and essential oils have a physical and emotional relationship with the body—soothing, energizing, relaxing, stimulating, or balancing.” This statement caught my eye. I’m big on fragrance and like the benefits listed for plant oils. Would love to win this giveaway to help me get started on providing a “green” home environment for my family. Thanks!

these products always catch my attention. many native american tribes have the concept “to the seventh generation”, meaning what we do now, affects the future, at least seven generations from now. it’s awesome to see this concept on the market. i’d love to try these products.

I had no idea a few drops of Eucalyptus oil in the wash would kill dust mites – I always assumed the wash itself killed them!

I learned that irradiating our foods might be more harmful than good. perhaps it should be used for certain items that are hard to cook or have contamination rates. Regardless, it just another reason to grow your own or buy local!!!!

You should dust with a damp cloth to ensure that household dust, which can collect toxins, is removed from surfaces and not stirred back into the air.

The chlorine in conventional detergents is easily vaporized by hot dishwasher water and then released into your home’s air.

Eucalyptus oil added to your wash water kills dust mites. Interesting! Also, certain plants in the bedroom help regulate the humidity level also helping to decrease dust mites. It can’t hurt to have fewer dust mites!!!!

It is scary to think of all the toxins we have exposed our families to and how harmful those toxins can be. I wonder if many of us have allergies and asthma as a result of the cleaning products our own parents used when we were children. I just learned that the chlorine in conventional detergents is easily vaporized by hot dishwasher water and then released into your home’s air. I am just thankful that companies like SeventhGeneration are taking such an active role in trying to provide and cleaner and SAFER world for our children.
