Sleepy Wrap GIVEAWAY

family Sleepy Wrap GIVEAWAY

I have 3 kids, the newest of which is 3 months old.  Like all moms I often find myself with arms full of baby and needing to have the use of my hands.

With each of my kids I’ve tried different front carriers, wraps and slings but I was never able to find one that the baby is happy in, is easy to use, and is comfortable for me.

When I received the Sleepy Wrap,  I was a bit skeptical.  The wrap is a strip of fabric about 10 yards long. The ends taper down to points. I looked at all the fabric and was sure that it would be much too hot and bulky to be comfortable for any extended amount of time. And I wasn’t sure how wrapping all that fabric around my body was going to support a baby!

I gave it a try and was very pleasantly surprised at the result!

The included instruction sheet is visual and easy to follow. That’s a HUGE plus.

All of the included instructions are for holds with the baby facing in toward you but I found that, if I follow the directions the same way only with the baby facing out I can hold the baby in my lap at the computer and have my arms free to type. A big bonus for this geeky mommy.

Here are some things I like about the Sleepy Wrap:

  • The fabric is of high quality, consisting of 95% cotton, and 5% spandex.  The spandex is woven into the back side of the fabric and does two things.  It gives the fabric bounce and memory to spring back to it’s original shape and gives it an almost terrycloth feel. Really soft and comfy.
  • Lots of colors available in the non-organic version of the wrap and two neutral color options in Organic.
  • I can take the baby out of the wrap without untying it. Great for diaper changes!
  • It’s surprisingly cool and comfortable.
  • The wrap distributes the weight of the baby evenly across your back. I’ve found that my baby feels much lighter in this wrap than when I have him in my other front carrier or even in my arms.
  • The wrap is machine washable and dryer safe. I can’t say the same for my other front carrier.

  1. It seems so easy to use. My DH wouldn;t go in the one I bought. Love to try one w/o having to shell out another $50

  2. I’d love to have a sleepy wrap to keep the little ones close by my heart. I find that little ones are soothed by being held often. Sleepy Wraps look so comfy and they have wonderful colors. I’ve loved to win/try a wrap. I’ve never used one before (that’s another reason why I’d love to win one)

  3. I follow sleepywrap on twitter.

  4. I’ve subscribed to your feed.

  5. I just subscribed to the feed.

  6. My daughter used something similar to the sleepy wrap with my grandson. It worked out perfectly. Now I would like to get one for my niece who is due to have a baby girl on September 25th.

  7. I am also a subscriber.

  8. I’ve been looking for the perfect wrap to try with our next baby (due in September). With an active toddler at home I know I’ll need all the help I can get, and both hands free! I’d love to try this carrier! :)

  9. My first baby is due in 5-6 weeks, so I’d love to give the sleepy wrap a try then. I don’t have any idea where to begin with babywearing, and this looks like a good one to start with, especially given that your review didn’t really have any negative drawbacks!

  10. Curios about who won?
