Thank you Sarah and to all who walk in raising funds for breast cancer research! I was diagnosed with breast cancer October 1st last year....the first day of breast cancer awareness month. I was only 44 years old. Breast cancer is striking women younger and younger each year. Because of such high funding raised in the breast cancer walks, the type of aggressive breast cancer that I have can be treated with a targeted gene therapy used only in the last 5 - 7 years! I am currently 8 months through with my 12 month chemo regimen. I am very hopeful that after I finish my treatment I will have an 82% chance of remaining cancer free in 10 years! It is women like you who embrace our sisterhood and join hands to make breast cancer a thing of the past! Let's pray our daughters won't have to deal with this disease when they grow up. You can read my journey at by blog http://MothersPreciousGems.wordpress.com
Get your full transcribed mammogram report!! If I had, it could have saved my breast. Don't let this happen to you!! Read more at the page "Don't Let This Happen To You" at my blog. Thank you again and don't forget to support your girlfriends who walk in the fund raisers this fall! They really do make a difference. I am living proof!
