Ten Ways To Save The Planet Without Losing Your Mind

green living Ten Ways To Save The Planet Without Losing Your Mind Traveling can make being green harder but there are ways to stay on track and here are some of them.

1.    Stay at a “green” hotel. “Green” hotels are working to lessen their environmental impact which in turn lowers yours while staying there.
2.    Drive, don’t fly. Flying puts off a lot of pollution and puts it closer to the ozone layer causing more damage.
3.    Take your own bottle. Fill up you bottle at the hotel and use that in place of bottled water and other bottled drinks.
4.    When shopping on your trip don’t forget your bags! It’s easy while on vacation to forget the things we do while at home, this is one thing you should be sure not to forget.
5.    Recycle! Check and see if your hotel recycles if not take a bag with you to bring your recycling back home with you.
6.    Visit a zoo or natural park to help teach your kids about why it’s important to take care of the planet. If you don’t have kids it can serve as a good reminder to yourself.
7.    When booking a hotel try and pick one near the places you will be visiting.
8.    If the above isn’t possible check out the city’s public transportation.
9.    Even better visit cities that are good for walking and skip the transportation all together.
10.    Most of all stay mindful of what you do and remember that even when you are on vacation you have an impact and it’s up to you for what kind of impact it is.
