The $7 Year-Round Table Runner

I wanted to create a year-round decorating solution for my dining room table. I tend to change my centerpiece with the seasons and holidays, but I needed something else on it to give it more texture and visual interest.

I decided to work with burlap, and I'm so glad that I did.  It's cheap, versatile, and fresh!

  1. I actually made curtains out of burlap, and it worked great! I have a kind of Tuscan themed kitchen. I put decorative runners down the front of the curtains to add color. The runners pull the curtain up and fasten up at the back top….they turned out really cute, and you're right! Burlap is very versatile.
