The Beauty of Beadboard Wallpaper

Do you love beadboard, but don't have all the necessary power tools to get it all done? I'm in the same boat and found out about a pretty cool product called paintable beadboard wallpaper. Made by Graham and Brown in England, it's a good facsimile of the real thing and once it's up, no one will ever know the difference. Unless they touch it, of course.

I recently used this wonderful stuff to update my kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets. To add some pizazz to the plain white endcaps on my cabinets. And it worked like a charm. Now, my cabinets look like they have had a molding treatment, all for less than $25 in beadboard wallpaper and a little bit of extra molding to trim them out. Once it's up, you paint it out with your trim paint and it looks just like the rest of your molding.

Great little trick! I would highly recommend this if you don't want to tear off baseboard molding and start over with real beadboard. I love the real stuff as much as the next girl, but this was an easy fix and a great way to add some extra architectural interest. I've even done a feature wall in one of my small bathrooms with it and added chair rail.

That looks gorgeous! I'd never heard of it before, but I'm adding a note to my decorating ideas list. Just beautiful!

  2. I LOVE this stuff. We used it in my oldest daughters bedroom. We just moved into a new house and my oldest daughter wanted a barn/horse theme. We used it on the lower half of the walls and then painted it chocolate brown. It looks like the real thing! She loves it and it was so easy to put up. I have also discovered it with crowns for a princess room and another print with race cars. They will be added to my little girl's room and my little boy's room. SO MUCH FUN!!

  3. This is fabulous! I was wanting to bead board my kitchen island, but my husband isn't much for power tools–so it was either do it myself or now..this.
