Ever since contributor and fashion expert Kathy Friend wrote this post about finding the perfect jean, I have been on the hunt for a pair! I realized after reading her post that I just wasn't wearing the right fit for my body. So, recently I've been testing different brands of jeans. I'll tell you about all of them in this series, and first up is Riders by Lee.
Mid-rise Boot-cut Jean
The good folks at Riders sent me several styles to look over, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I had never tried Riders before, but because they were so reasonably priced (most styles retail for less than $20.00!), I had my expectations set kind of low.
Here are a couple of features I liked about Riders:
- Some styles offer a tummy-control panel. It actually WORKS! It instantly slims you and the jeans are still comfortable to wear.

- Other styles feature a comfort no-gap waistband, to avoid that nasty gap at the back of your jeans when your waist is much smaller than your rump. This feature also actually WORKS and is comfortable!
- The styles were fashionable and contemporary – I LOVE this Slim & Straight Leg Jean

I also liked the fact that Riders by Lee offers many styles in Petite, Average, and Tall. I'm 5'4" so I like to have options! The Riders' petite worked for me, but in many other brands I'm stuck between petite and average.

Yes! I have a pair of the mid-rise boot cut jeans (got them at Walmart) and I get SO many compliments on them! People tell me that I look like I've lost more weight (when I haven't). Makes me want to buy six more pairs, and somehow convince my boss to let me wear them to work every day!
I have 2 pairs of these jeans and I love them. My hubby always comments on how good my butt looks in them :O) My only complaint is that I can rarely find my size in the stores, I really don't like buying stuff online because of the whole try on factor and shipping.
