Several months ago I gave myself a treat and bought some new makeup. Ordinarily, my makeup routine consists of a good moisturizer and a healthy dose of lip balm–that's it. No muss, no fuss. For a long time, this worked very well for me. But now, my skin was ready for a change. Truth be told, I was ready for a change, especially since I found myself having to dress up more often. Plus, my makeup was old, outdated, and did very little for my skin's coloring. It was time for something new and fresh.
So, I did some research and found that mineral makeup seemed like the best option for my skin. Next, I headed to the mall. I went to a new store dedicated to a specific brand of mineral makeup. The attendant helped me find colors and bases that brought out my skin's beauty. She made sure I understood how to apply the makeup and even helped me plan a makeup routine that actually worked for me.
It's now months later and I'm still a huge fan! The makeup feels wonderful and is easy to use. Plus, I feel great when I wear it because I know it's makeup that works for me! I may not wear it everyday but I certainly wear it more than I've worn any other makeup in the last 2 years. That alone is well worth it!

I too love mineral makeup! I used to use a liquid foundation with a powder over it for years and recommended that certain brand to everyone that would listen. Then I went to one of those places you went to and tried this new, strange powder mineral foundation. I bought some only b/c it was able to take the redness and cover the psoriasis of my best friend. I figured if it could conceal her blemishes, it could conceal any little bit of rosacea or pimple that came my way. It took about a week to get used to applying the makeup, but once I figured it out, I have been a believer ever since. I will never ever use liquid foundation again. Plus, my skin has improved in texture and appearance.
Glad to hear it! I've been wanting to try this but its a little pricey (and I don't typically wear much make-up, either!).
I use the Physician's Formula Mineral make-up that I can get at Target. It's wonderful, I can't imagine going back to liquid/creme foundation ever again.
I am a bare minerals girl. Woo hoo. Started wearing it when I was pregnant. It was so funny. The first time I wore it, I was told "Oh, you have that pregnancy glow. You look so good!" I laughed. I knew it was the new bare minerals that I had just put on!!
I LOVE that brand of makeup too. I used to buy what was on sale at the store, but since getting this makeup, I swear I won't go back again. I really like the ease of use, the depth of coverage, and the way it makes my skin glow!
I thought mineral makeup was only sold by direct sales people, never seen it in a store here in NH. I doubt anything can take me away from my revlon colormatch system
My skin is a hard one to match color wise – I am not tan but I am not non-tan either 
For the few times I wear make up I really couldn't see myself buying any more BUT I may check this out if I can find it locally. Thanks for the great post!
I bought Bare Minerals a couple months ago, and I love it. I have mild rosacea and other discolored splotches and Bare Minerals covers them beautifully.
