Wondering what to wear and what not to be caught dead in this spring? Here are some fashion must-haves and don't-even-think-about-its for spring 2009!
MUST HAVES OF THE SEASON
- A short sleeve trench – this might be as a shirt jacket or a dress…but it is the MUST HAVE!

- A nude color shoe – nude might be tan, might be bronze – but definitely something with an interesting heel.

- Speaking of shoes, the gladiator sandal is also back this spring – but look for it done in new interesting ways (as a sandal boot, as a pump).
- And finally, the huuarache. I love the way Cole Haan has taken this trend and made it their own.

- Laser cut lace, this is a heavier lace look – not as delicate as a traditional lace – and if done as a detail on a shorter a-line skirt, it will be hot hot hot!
- A floral print, especially a rose print or anything with a butterfly on it! The butterfly is THE motif of the season.
- The maxi dress – every designer is showing one. Be careful with this trend, it can quickly go from trendy to nightgown. Be conscious of your stature – if you are petite – pass on the maxi dress. I found one that I love…but I am going to be hemming it to my knee (I guess then it isn't a maxi dress is it?)

THANK YOU.
I'm interested to see the Christian Siriano for Payless collection. It features his signature heel, which resembles an upside down pyramid; it might be a fun nude colored shoe. (I've actually been looking around at neutral shoes!)
I've seen tons of cute maxi dresses at Target and I might actually consider getting some, although I'll probably hem them up too. (I'm only 5'4".)
I like this long jacket but not in shot sleeve. I would like to have a silk blouse under it.
What is a Maxi dress? Pictures please.
