“Elysian Fields” – Premiered Monday, July 27
Brenda has recurring nightmares about Philip Stroh, the lawyer she was unable to convict after it became clear he was using his sex-offender client as cover for rapes Stroh himself was committing. She continues to work on the case when she can, becoming a little obsessive over it in the eyes of her squad.
A retired detective, Joe Olin (Tom Skerritt), is brought in to help when a suspect in a cold case winds up dead. It turns out the detective, who is terminally ill, killed the man in order to provide justice for the families of his victims.
Provenza, trying to get a dig in at Olin, whom he never liked when they worked together, brags, “I’m single. Dating someone, though. She’s 29.”
When Brenda’s mother and niece express a desire to visit Los Angeles, Fritz urges Brenda to set aside time for her family. Brenda argues that her job is her number one priority. But at the end of the episode, she calls her mother in the middle of the night to let her know she’s thinking about her and wants to spend time with her.
RAISING THE BAR- Season 2

“Trust Me” – Premiered Monday, July 27
Bobbi becomes enraged at Jerry when he tries to help her out by helping her client solidify his testimony. She is blindsided when information comes out in the testimony that she didn’t know. She calls Jerry arrogant for thinking he had the right to step into her case without telling her. She is even more infuriated when he won’t acknowledge it, saying she isn’t sure she can trust him anymore.
Richard, who is becoming increasingly bothered by the shortage of funding for the Public Defenders office, decides to donate the first installment of his trust fund, $3 million, to hiring more civil law attorneys. He is moved to do this when one of his clients gets threatened by a major law firm over paying $1,500 in damages over the theft of a $6 set of batteries. At first Roz doesn’t want to accept the money, but she finally does, seeing Richard as the truly giving person he is.
HAWTHORNE – Season 1
Tuesdays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
“Night Moves” – Premiered Tuesday, July 28
While Christina works a night shift, Tom brings his date to the hospital before they head off to a black-tie charity function. But when work requires Tom to stick around the hospital, his date winds up leaving.
Ray stands in for Tom as the medic at a women’s hockey game. He winds up being punched in the nose by the husband of one of the players in what soon escalates into an all-out brawl. It all ends well with Ray scoring the phone number of the team captain.
After finding Isabel on the street, Bobbie decides to put her up for the night. When she wakes up the next day, however, she finds that Isabel has stolen her prosthetic leg.
SAVING GRACE – Season 3
Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
“That Was No First Kiss” – Premiered Tuesday, July 28
Grace catches Rhetta’s husband, Ronnie, in a passionate kiss with the woman handling the sale of their farm. She struggles with telling Rhetta and finally decides it’s best that she know. Rhetta then realizes she feels just like all the wives whose husbands Grace has ensnared. “How many marriages have you damaged,” she asks Grace, “all because you don’t care if the men you sleep with are married? Because now it’s happened to me, and it hurts.” She demands that Grace never sleep with a married man again.
Earl finally tells Grace the name of coma girl – Neely.
LEVERAGE – Season 2
Wednesdays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
“The Order-23 Job” – Premiered Wednesday, July 29
Nate takes special pleasure in trying to convince their mark – a slimy hedge-fund trader named Eddie Maranjian – that he has a deadly disease. Parker then says to Sophie, “Is it just me, or is Nate a little sadistic since he quit drinking?” Sophie responds, “Is it just me, or does that make him more attractive?”
One of the U.S. Marshals assigned to take Maranjian to prison turns out to be a hit man with orders to kill him because he gave up information about the Armenian mob to the Feds.
Eliot takes time out to deal with a little boy who may have been abused by his father. Later, he asks the real U.S. Marshal to help the boy.
Hardison demonstrates his nerdiness when he uses the titles of Star Trek movies as code, which does no good since Eliot doesn’t have a TV.
DARK BLUE – Season 1
Wednesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
“Purity” – Premiered Wednesday, July 29
Jamie comes up with the idea of bringing down their targeted drug kingpin by going after his drug tester, who clearly doesn’t want to be part of that drug business anymore.
Because the team hasn’t had time to create a cover identity for Jaimie, she has to use her real name and background. It turns out she has been arrested for possession and breaking and entering. She’s also been in rehab, which becomes a problem when the mark insists she snort some cocaine. Dean winds up saving her, but not before she has to partake in the coke.
Things go south when the tester’s lawyer tips off the drug kingpin that he’s being set up. In a lightning-fast shootout, the team manages to arrest the kingpin, but the tester winds up dead.
Jamie’s boyfriend asks her to move in with him. But when Dean comes by her apartment later to help her get over the day, she tries to entice him into bed.
